Spanish classes for children and adults
During the ten years I worked in the public school system in Aragon (Spain), I had the great privilege of learning alongside many incredible children. Many of them arrived from different parts of the world with no knowledge of Spanish. Their urgent need to learn taught me how to deliver a practical, functional approach to language teaching—one that empowered them to integrate, communicate, and navigate a Spanish-speaking environment independently.
This experience shaped my teaching style, which I now apply in my Spanish classes for non-native speakers. I teach my native language using play, theatre, rhymes, movement, and other dynamic tools to make learning fun, emotional, and meaningful.
My own journey as an expatriate learning a new language as an adult has also brought me greater professional empathy and sensitivity. It helps me understand my students’ struggles and aspirations, and connect with them through a respectful and supportive learning process.
Since 2016, I have been teaching Spanish to children, teenagers, and adults—both independently and in collaboration with various institutions. I am an accredited DELE examiner for levels A1/A2, B1/B2, C1/C2 and Escolar (Code No. 971279), and I have completed official training for preparing students for Junior and Leaving Certificate Spanish exams.
I am currently part of Ireland’s national Say Yes to Languages programme, promoted by the Department of Education, which brings early and playful Spanish learning into primary school classrooms.
