Specialized Support for Autism
For years I have supported families with children on the autism spectrum — a part of my work that I truly enjoy and feel deeply connected to. I specialise in fostering language, communication, and emotional expression, always through play, connection, and respecting each child’s individual rhythm.
I worked for several years in specialised autism classrooms (aulas TEA) in public schools in Spain, where I developed a strong foundation in supporting autistic children and creating adapted materials and strategies. Later, in Ireland, I was part of the Home Tuition program of the Department of Education, supporting children in their homes before school placement. It was a very rewarding experience that allowed me to be closely involved with families in their daily lives.
I now offer flexible and personalised private sessions, fully adapted to each child’s specific needs and family context.
Some of the areas I work on include:
- Early language stimulation.
- Support for communication (verbal and non-verbal).
- Sensory regulation (proprioception, food-related issues, self-regulation).
- Emotional flexibility.
- Support for selective mutism.
- Guidance for families to develop home-based strategies.
Every child is unique, which is why every session is tailored to their interests, needs, and preferences — and to those of their family. I believe the key is building trust and creating a space where they feel safe and respected… from there, everything else begins to flow naturally.
